One of my friends used to link to my homepage calling it "links for nerds". I thought the name was so good that I kept it for myself. Thanks, Linda!

This page contains links to things that I think are good, useful or just interesting in some weird fashion. THe selection probably says more about me than I would like to admit, but...

Music

Right now I listen a lot to: As a rule my musical taste is mostly electronica or eighties. This means:

Electronic music I listen to or that has affected me in some way: Marc Almond, Emmon, Client, VNV Nation, And One, Jean Michel Jarre, Jean Michel Jarre, Covenant, Martin Gore, Soft Cell and Gary Numan.

Pop/rock that has influenced me at some time: Rufus Wainwright, Fläskkvartetten, the Cure, Eurythmics, U2, INXS, the Police, Imperiet / Thåström, New Order, Sting, Weeping Willows, The Beautiful South.

Being a singer in a choir I have a soft spot for good a-capella music as well: Ralph Vaughan-Williams, Benjamin Britten, The Real Group, Swingle Singers, Viba Femba, Basix, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Brahms, Gabriel Fauré, Voices Unlimited.

Books

When I'm not listening to music I can probably be found with a book in my hands. Five favourites:

Other authors I like:

Douglas Adams Ian M. Banks, Isaac Asimov, A. E. Van Vogt, Kim Stanley Robinson, Greg Bear och David Brin write good science fiction.

I don't just like science fiction, but also J. R. R. Tolkien, Alexander McCall Smith, Neil Gaiman, Michael Crichton, Douglas Coupland and William Gibson.

A few links to good and useful archives of electronic texts: Patchword English poetry, Projekt Runeberg Swedish literature, Literature.org Swedish classics, Projekt Gutenberg any literature where the copyright has expired, the King James' Bible.
